In 2019 in Krasnoyarsk will host World Winter Universiade. As practice shows, the conducting of such large-scale events requires the fulfillment of a number of organizational issues. One of the key problems of the organiza-tion is the transportation of participants and spectators to the sites of the competition. During this period, the load on the logistics infrastructure is above the usual level, which one, as the analysis shows, is already function-ing in Krasnoyarsk under excessive load. In addition, passenger traffic dur-ing the Universiade may differ from conventional passenger traffic, which makes it difficult to use the newly built or modernized facilities after its completion. In our opinion, it is necessary to appeal to existing experience of the organization of transportation at the time of major events. Studying the experience of major events leads to the conclusion about the necessity to im-prove the comprehensive public transport network, including the develop-ment of bus, rail and other transport modes, as well as the organization of their system interaction, through the creation of transports logistics center. The implementation of these measures will have a positive impact on the quality of transport services, and therefore the social and economic devel-opment of the city.
