The peculiarities of the tillet (Tilia cordata) root system formation by the method of cutting in the conditions of Ufa industrial center petrochemical pollution are studied. It is shown that the method of cutting allows to trace only general peculiarities of the root disposition in the soil profile, and cannot be recommended for the detailed root system study.
