The comparative assessment of different forms gnarly characteristic in pine (Pinus sylvestris) plantations of southern taiga subzone in the Vologda region (green moss group of forest types) is conducted in the article. The conclusions and suggestions for obtaining high-quality wood in the forest ecosystems of pine (Pinus sylvestris) various forms are formulated.
