The assessment of the fallow field soil potential and effective fertility on the content of organic substance and nitrate nitrogen is given in the article. The pure fallow influence on the soil agrochemical properties and their possible manifestation on the subsequent culture crop capacity is considered. The approach allowing to assess the degree of soil plucking is offered.
