The results of three year research of the influence of agricultural land use and opencast mining on the water quality of the small river Ivanovka in the Amur River basin are stated. It is revealed that the water quality depends on the hydrothermal conditions and nature use type. The surface waters of the small river Ivanovka are classified as "moderately polluted" and "polluted" on the organic substance content.
