Abstract and keywords
Abstract (English):
The purpose of the research was studying sea- sonal, sexual, age dynamics of incidence, food al- lowances and physical activity of cats males and females with urological syndrome. The researches were conducted on the basis of the clinic "Planet of ZOO" (Zarechny, Penza Region) and FSBEI HE Saratov SAU. The cases of applying of owners of cats with urological syndrome aged from 6 months till 12 years, different breeds, types of feeding and conditions of keeping during the period from 2013 to 2017 were analyzed. The results of the re- searches on studying the features of distribution of diseases of urinary tract in cats were presented. It was found out that the maximum number of urolithiasis cases had been recorded in the autumn and amounted to 36.7 % of the total number of pa- tients who applied to the clinic for the entire period of the research. Idiopathic cystitis had less pro- nounced seasonality, but there was a slight increase in autumn and spring. The percentage ratio between the diseased with urolithiasis neutered and intact cats was not expressed explicitly (29.01 % 31.49 % re- spectively of the total number of diseased animals). The highest percentage of urolithiasis incidence was recorded in sterilized females (23.98 %). Females were more prone to idiopathic cystitis, regardless of the activity of reproductive system (29.92 % and31.4 %, respectively). Males showed little differ- ence in the spread of the disease depending on physiological state: non-castrated males - of 20.08%, in castrated - 18.69 % of the total number of diseased animals. It was established that ani- mals living in apartments and not having access to the street more often suffered from urolithiasis and idiopathic cystitis (67.88 % and 61.21 %, respec- tively, of the total number of patients) compared with animals on self-walking. The largest number of animals infected with urolithiasis, ate dry industrial diets of economy class. The dependence of the occurrence of idiopathic cystitis on the diet was not traced.
