PATHOMORPHOLOGICAL CHANGES IN CATS UNDER PANLEUKOPENIA
Abstract and keywords
Abstract (English):
Pathomorphological picture of changes in or- gans of and tissues in cats with confirmed diagno- sis of panleukopenia, with subsequent establish- ment of changes, local, pathogenic for this disease, and also the most characteristic complications of the main suffering were studied. The objects of the research were 12 corpses of cats aged from three to six months. Lifetime diagnosis was established in a complex, on the basis of epizootological, anam- nestic, clinical data, and also the results of labora- tory blood tests of sick animals - in all diseased cats panleukopenia virus fragments were revealed by methods of polymerase chain reaction and immunofermental analysis. Studying of pathomorphological changes was carried out using pathoanatomical and histological methods. For his- tological analysis the material - liver, kidneys, lymph nodes, spleen, brain, intestines was select- ed. The results of studying bodies and tissues in feline panleukopenia showed that the most patho- genic changes were sharp, from serous-catarrhal to hemorrhagic, inflammation of gastrointestinal tractin combination with acute serous-hemorrhagic in- flammation of the lymph nodes, red bone marrow aplasia and atrophic-dystrophic changes in the thymus and spleen, as well as acute serous- catarrhal conjunctivitis and dehydration. The most characteristic complications of feline panleukopenia were deep degenerative processes of the liver and kidneys, acute serous-catarrhal inflammation of mucous membranes of upper and lower respiratory tract, anemia. Typical, but non-permanent patho- logical feature was acute vesicular and erosive stomatitis and hepatocellular jaundice. Obtained data will allow optimizing the process of both com- plex and differential diagnosis of the disease.
