The article considers the economic nature of the human capital. We con-sider the point of view of the leading academic economists on the role and place of a man in a complex multi- faceted system of socio- economic rela-tions. It reveals the essence of the category of human capital as an inte-grated multi-faceted phenomenon of systemic structural and functional or-ganization.
