In this article the essay Art and Philosophy by A. Badiou where the French philosopher contemplates specifics of interrelations of Art and Phi-losophy is analyzed. In XX century he formally classified these relations in three schemes: didactic, romantic and classical. Among the major tendencies of thought in that century, he mentions Marxism, psychoanalysis and Ger-man hermeneutics. In opposition to these three schemes, the philosopher suggests the fourth method of connecting Art and Philosophy.
