The new method of calculating the region competitiveness level in the assessment process of interregional trade between these objects is offered in the article. The distribution scheme of the significance levels of competitiveness indices is developed. The mechanism for calculating the region competitiveness on the example of Kaliningrad and Brest regions is applied. The conclusions on the conducted analysis of 2012, taking into account the intermediate calculations for each indicator group: production, investment, social, financial are drawn.
