The procedure for labor amount determination of the lawyers in the cases according tothe appointment of the inquiry agencies, preliminary investigation or court is analyzed in the article. The authors come to the conclusion that it is necessary to introduce the discretionary mechanisms aimed at improving the quality of the legal aid: criteria of the casecomplexity, qualifications and experience, lawyer activity,into the system of the appointed lawyer labor remuneration.
